• Established and maintained positive professional relationships with drivers and external carriers, contributing to the smooth
onboarding of new carriers, reduced turnover rates, and optimized ongoing productivity.
• Efficiently allocated loads, planned routes, and supervised freight movement to guarantee secure and punctual service delivery while ensuring adherence to customer specifications.
• Managed exceptions in freight management, adjusted driver ETAs based on pick-up and delivery schedules, and considered environmental factors affecting road conditions.
• Collaborate with drivers, customers, and company staff to promptly address service-related concerns, routing and planning issues, mechanical problems, accessorial pay matters, and other issues as they arise during the day and, when required, during on-call periods.
• Manage yard checking/inspecting equipment and coordinate with maintenance to ensure all regular preventative maintenance services are scheduled on time and all safety related mechanical issues are fixed for account equipment (as required).
• Perform an in-depth analysis of fleet operations and profitability and provide recommendations for ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Manage inventory, assets, customer pools and/or assignment of drivers to balance equipment in market.
