Detecting and segmenting regional artifacts on whole slide images, including tissue tearing, folding, blurring, air bubbles, and pen markers using Openslide and HistoQC. Designing comprehensive QC matrices and QC scores based on detected artifacts on whole slide images with the implementation of image analysis algorithms. Applying QC tools to evaluate improving subsequent analysis performance using deep learning and AI/ML models to detect and locate artifacts on a given whole slide image.
