System Analyst

- Manage OSYD Portal applications by providing user support, documenting enhancements, provide business requirements to DIIT, create and maintain data dictionaries and business rules, and ensure implementation through user acceptance testing - Develop thoughtful and creative approaches for addressing a wide range of analytic questions related to the functionality of the OSYD Web Applications for their various stakeholders. Oversee and support the annual School Safety Plan (SSP) Certification process between the NYPD and schools for all DOE school buildings, to ensure compliance with Chancellor's Regulation A-414 and NYS SAVE Legislation - Support schools with the documentation of incidents, suspensions, evacuation drills, Safety Committee and Town Hall Meetings to educate members of the community on safety issues in neighborhood schools, as well as provide an outlet for the community to voice safety concerns - Furnish data to schools, Borough Safety Directors and Superintendents' office staff to ensure each school building's compliance with various deadlines and requirements, as well as other safety-related initiatives - Provide data to schools and school support staff to inform improvements to their climate and culture and resource allocation - Provide technical and administrative support to the DIIT Internet Protocol Digital Video Surveillance (IPDVS) deployment unit - Respond to requests from parents and community members to provide public versions of the SSPs - Update and maintain the OSYD Portal Wiki to serve as a secondary resource to schools and stakeholders - Utilize advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and related programs to create reports and presentations for data analysis and training
