• Build coupled fluid flow and geomechanics CO2 storage model in CMG GEM. Implement dual-grid system (geomechanical grid plus reservoir grid) into the model.
• Apply multi-objective optimization with Genetic Algorithm to investigate CO2 storage under geomechanical risks for well placement optimization problem.
• Perform robust optimization with geologic uncertainty on the CO2 storage optimization under geomechanical risks using Farnsworth benchmark model
• Investigate CO2 storage caprock fracturing mechanism on CO2 leakage issues. Build caprock fracturing model using Barton-Bandis model. Perform CO2 storage control optimization to minimize CO2 leakage through caprock fracturing.
• Build data driven proxy model for mapping flow only simulation to coupled flow and geomechanics simulation using Auto Encoder Convolutional Neural Network (AE-CNN) and U-Net.
