New Member Educator

- Responsible for educating new members on the values, histories and traditions of Theta. Act as a mentor to help facilitate connections within the new member class and throughout the sorority, and help new members navigate roles in Theta and the greater Syracuse community - VOLUNTEER/COMMUNITY SERVICE EXPERIENCE - Teacher, Projects Abroad (Jamaica - Worked daily with three- to five-year old children in Franklyn Basic School to help them improve their scholastic and social skills, and to learn holistically, while also developing myself personally and professionally - Disaster Relief Trip through Syracuse University (Puerto Rico) - Worked with local community members and 19 other Syracuse students to help the citizens of Puerto Rico rebuild after Hurricane Maria - Dream Project (Sabaneta, Dominican Republic) - Lived in local community and designed, implemented, and operated a new, sustaining camp providing arts and crafts, sports, team building, and recreational activities for five- to 15-year old children. The camp I helped set up will continue to serve children for generations
