Camp Counselor

- I supervised children aged 7-13 for the month of July at the Monroe Township Recreation Center and engaged in traditional camp activities, including arts and crafts, field trips, and sports - I worked with high school/college peers aged 14 and older, with guidance from group supervisors and site - I learned many leadership skills and how to respond to emergencies in the work setting, including reporting and filling out EMT paperwork when injuries took place - I worked as a Counselor in Training in 2016, as a form of community service, and was hired as a paid Counselor - Utilized patience and understanding when dealing with challenging behavior from campers - Created an inclusive environment for all campers regardless of age, gender or race - Managed multiple tasks simultaneously while supervising large groups of children
