- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Aiken management and employees to coordinate personnel actions and address employee relations issues. Examples include hiring, transfers, merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions
- Administer effective personnel policies, process improvement, procedures, and programs to uphold fair and equitable practices
- Prepare annual salary proposal for 350+ employees
- Working with Benefits Department, coordinate and administer employee benefits
- Coordinate recruitment with Talent Acquisition Specialist on all hourly and salaried positions
- Review resumes, conduct all interviews, execute qualified candidate offers with specific hiring managers
- Prepare, analyze, and submit required information for Equal Opportunity Employment and Affirmative Action Plans
- Interpret, advise, and counsel employees and management on policies and human resources procedures
- Update and maintain company handbook for hourly employees
- Assist in various payroll procedures and audits
- Conduct new hire orientation on a weekly basis and coordinate and track employee training
- Act as a liaison for retirees with regards to pensions and retiree medical benefits
- Assist with Aiken Communication plan and assist with coordinating quarterly employee meetings
- Assist in planning all employee engagement activities
- Manage electronic communications displays: compliance postings, employee relations, safety information, new product advertisements job postings, etc
