- Fulfills a critical role as the senior engineering officer on board offshore supply vessels (OSVs) and multi-purpose support vessels (MPSVs) operated by this provider of services to the United States Navy and Military Sealift Command
- Effectively manages engineering crews ensuring the performance and availability of shipboard engineering systems and equipment while ensuring compliance with all corporate policies, procedure, and best practices
- Supervises engineering officers, engineering crew, vendors and subcontractors, with authority over service delivery, human resources, safety, and cost management
- Safeguards the health and welfare of all crew members, as well as equipment, cargo, and the environment, by administering the company's Safety Management System across all areas of ship operations in compliance with domestic and international regulatory standards
- Scope of authority includes the maintenance and operation of engineering systems that include main propulsion, power generation and management systems, vessel control systems, automation systems, dry bulk and liquid cargo transfer systems, fuel management systems, bilge, ballast and firefighting systems, refrigeration and HVAC systems
- Maintains the operational budget for vessel and specialty projects in conjunction with company and client objectives and standards
- Directly responsible for managing and providing technical oversight in the development of vessel lifecycle repair and alteration program. Develop contract bid work items with technical job scopes. Development and implementation of project workflows to provide realistic expectations of how to achieve project schedule milestones within budgetary requirements
