Currently, I am working on a team of seven to design a regenerative load simulator for a hardware-in-the-loop testing system to recycle energy, lower use cost, and increase scalability. The regenerative load will able to cycle 80-90% of the energy back into the main system power supply unit (PSU) instead of letting it dissipate as heat as in a traditional resistive load. This is part of a senior capstone project.
