Armada is an open-source container orchestration tool that allows administrators to automate the configuration and deployment of development environments in the cloud. - Led project team through the development, prototyping, and launch of Armada using Node.js, Docker, and AWS (ECS, ALB, RDS, Lambda, EFS, Cognito, EC2). - Devised networking strategy using an Application Load Balancer (ALB), Load Balancer Listeners, and Target Groups to enable path-pattern routing to stateful containers. - Developed storage strategy and directed project team implementation utilizing Amazonʼs Elastic File System (EFS) and serverless functions (Lambda) to enable data persistence. - Designed and implemented backend service with endpoints engineered to simplify the end-user experience and facilitate - Built UI for creating, organizing, and managing development environments (React, Chakra UI). - Automated the deployment and provisioning of AWS infrastructure using the Cloud Development Kit (CDK). - Collaborated with a remote team of four engineers distributed across the United States. - Served as lead author on a comprehensive case study providing an in-depth analysis of Armada's problem domain, system design, and engineering decisions.
