Financial Control Analyst

• In-depth assessment of financial statements of insurance companies to consider credit, legal, liquidity, market, operational, underwriting, reputational, reserving, and strategic risks quarterly to assess if there are any critical risks • Examines insurer financial statements and schedules, contracts, policies, practices, reinsurer aspects, and operational activities to determine the extent of their financial solvency and compliance with applicable provisions of the Florida Insurance and Administrative Codes, Statutes, and NAIC standards and guidelines • Plans and reports on investigations of regulated entities in accordance with Florida Statutes and the Florida Administrative Code as required and followed up with insurance representatives as needed • Daily communication and with companies and management regarding statute violations and compliance issues through email, letters, video conference and over the phone to provide guidence and preformed related duties as required • Representative for the Life and Health Financial Oversight analysis team, examination team, and applications team to recruit part-time employees at the FSU, UF, UNF Business Career Expo’s • Supervises and assists training part-time employees by answering questions and providing insight to proper procedures and help develop conclusions on State law, State regulations, and developing recommendations correspondingly
