As a Senior Compliance Officer for City National Bank within the Technology and Innovation Department, I own part of the end-to-end compliance strategy, ensuring all regulatory requirements and internal policies are rigorously enforced through governance, SLA tracking, and escalation management. I take full accountability for control writing, evidence gathering, and control testing, while leading cross-functional collaboration to enforce compliance frameworks, close gaps, and implement corrective actions. I deliver executive-level reporting, monitor compliance metrics, and prepare for audits by maintaining robust documentation and conducting risk assessments. I actively engage in review and challenge sessions with the Second Line of Defense (2LOD) to ensure alignment and address potential compliance risks. My success is measured by timely issue resolution, positive audit outcomes, and the effectiveness of compliance programs in mitigating risks while staying ahead of regulatory trends.
