I have lived in three different countries. When I was 11, my parents and some family friends did an "daughter exchange" in which I came to the States for six months with our friends to learn English, and their daughter went to Venezuela to learn Spanish.
Immigrating from Venezuela, a country that denounces news, I vowed to approach journalism with integrity, empathy and relentless pursuit of the truth. I'm elated to be an incoming member of the press, and through my writing, inspire and educate people.
