Materials Characterization Labortatory Technician

• Operated, maintained, and troubleshooted materials characterization, materials testing, and nondestructive analysis laboratory equipment. • Trained dozens of engineering students on proper operation of materials characterization equipment: SEM, XRF, XRD, DSC, FTIR, DMA, TGA. Aided numerous independent, club, and senior projects in characterization operation.• Imaged failure regions using Scanning Electron Microscope of numerous alloys and collected detailed microstructural images, uncovering failure modes and causes of stress on each system. • Assisted research team in determining high-entropy alloy compositions using X-ray Fluorescence and X-ray Diffraction, leading to a published paper on its classified properties
