- Process and prepare loan files for, on average, 600 mortgage loans per year
- Manage communication with mortgage loan borrowers to gather documentation and prepare files for underwriters
- Coordinate with Loan Officer Assistants and Loan Openers to review, process and submit borrower documents to underwriters for approval
- Schedule, on average 12 closings per week, with closing agents and borrowers to ensure timely closing of mortgage loans
- Manage a pipeline of 40 to 80 loan files ensuring mortgage loan files continuously move through the pipeline as quickly as possible, remaining organized and paying close attention to details, while managing communications between all team members resulting in mortgage loans closing in 20 days or less
- Update Loan Officers on the status of each loan file and proactively identify any issues requiring attention to maintain the loan closing schedule
- Generate reports through Encompass (mortgage loan processing system) including reports needed to track successful loan closings and projected loan volume
- Train and mentor new loan openers and loan processers on all aspects of the loan processing process and verify they have the knowledge to perform their respective roles
- Interface with Downpayment Assistant programs, including Iowa Finance Authority
- Illinois Housing Development Authority and the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) to assist qualified borrowers in garnering assistance with making required downpayments
- Led the planning and execution of grand opening for new branch office in West Des Moines, IA in May 2019
- Impact the achievement of annual team goals including closing nearly $100 million in mortgage loans against a goal of $85 million in 2023
