1. Commissioned a pilot plant to evaluate the suitability of API pipeline materials for hydrogen transportation.
2. Developed an in-situ aging system for hydrogen-compatible pipeline materials under high pressure and temperature conditions.
3. Performed tensile and fatigue testing on X52, X60, and X70 natural gas pipeline steel in high-pressure hydrogen environments, assessing material compatibility and pipeline integrity per ASTM E1820 and ASTM A106 standards.
4. Enhanced correlations between operational parameters and pipeline materials to ensure compliance with API 5L and ASTM standards.
5. Conducted techno-economic analyses to optimize hydrogen storage and transportation systems.
6. Led mechanical characterization efforts and created machine learning models to predict hydrogen embrittlement and fatigue crack growth rates in pipeline materials.
