Designing, prototyping, and implementing computational algorithms that utilize both statistical and machine learning approaches, using SAS, R, shell/bash scripting, C++ and Python language.  Managing research databases on Google Cloud Platform  Projects: 1. Developing and implementing algorithms based on Levenshtein distance algorithm, Needleman-Wunsch algorithm, and Smith-Waterman algorithms, to design DNA barcode sets that satisfy different structural requirements. Successfully developed 50000 barcodes one month earlier than expected date, and promoted the barcode generation of the chemistry team.  2. Developing pipelines for pathogen genome sequence data collection, data extraction, transformation and loading and facilitate with the universal primer sequence designing. Processed over 200k sequencing files from 19 bacterial species, and shortened the processing time from months to days.
