- Produced an inexpensive device that opens doors by the push of a button, allowing those with severe motor impairments to open doors with ease, while adhering to the strict housing policies and a $300 budget
- Developed the device by wirelessly connecting two Arduino UNO boards to a stepper motor and a spool of nylon rope, which was designed and 3D printed using CAD software
- Worked with Amazon Web Services, Python, and the Alexa Skills Kit to create an "open door" Amazon Alexa skill with the goal of integrating an Amazon Alexa into the device to enhance the device's accessibility by making it voice activated
