- Englewood Cliff-NJ, USA - Project Highlight - NBC OneApp URL: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-nbc-app-stream-tv-shows/id442839435 - NBC OneApp was a high-profile project where NBCU's 11 individual brands such as Bravo, Oxygen - SyFy, CNBC and more were consolidated into single OneApp player. As an iOS/tvOS QA, I was - Native VOD Player - It was in house effort to develop its own Native VOD player from scratch to replace Anvato (Google Player). As a QA, I was responsible to test overall functionality of Native VOD player. Designed Test - NBC uses its own stable Native VOD player without any dependency on other third party - Accomplishments - Worked on NBC OneApp Test case design, feature Testing, raising/reporting defects, production - Design Test Cases for Native VOD player framework for NBCU Apps for iOS & tvOS, plan detail - Plan, Implement, and execute Quality Assurance practices and procedures that accommodate rapid - Act in a direct role to execute manual quality assurance tests and document software defects - Create and maintain test cases, test data, test plans and defect reports - Participate in early story development and design sessions to suggest and assist in acceptance criteria - Identify, communicate and mitigate risks within each software release - Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved - Generate Quality Reports for broad communication - Perform Quality Assurance tasks in a blended QA / Development / Product environment - Demonstrate performance of QA for high-traffic and high-availability applications - Strong problem solving and debugging skills using testing tools, such as Charles, Conviva - Touchstone, Developer Tools, Splunk - Implement local mapping and spoofing for Video Streaming Test using software tools - Worked closely within a cross functional team of testers and developers - Worked extensively in an agile environment (Scaled Agile Framework) with participation in bi-weekly - SCRUM meetings with demos at every meeting - Participate in daily standup meetings - Used different Analytics tools to ensure the quality of SDK's services such as Heartbeat, Comscore - Nielsen, Freewheel ad request and Conviva - Experience with digital video delivery to consumers - Good written and oral communication skills and effective interpersonal skills - Experience with defect tracking systems and test management systems - Experience with Jira, Zephyr and Github - Experience in working with IOS Applications and Set-Top Boxes - Active participation in various meetings to share project status and ideas for problem solving - Preparing Sprint report for metrics of Feature and Regression results - Leading meeting to resolve bugs and prioritize task - Training new comers with knowledge transfer, setting up devices and assigning task as needed - Communicate & supervise onsite/offshore resources to clarify tasks/assignments as per business - Environment - Mobile & OTT
