    • Evaluated error metrics to determine differences between grayscale images of cars and planes for labeling unlabeled images of training sets for computer vision algorithms • Developed Python’s PyTorch code to create and evaluate sample convolutional neural networks (CNN) using a dataset of car and plane images, evaluating the optimal number of epochs to use along the way • Conducted research on how image sampling for a training dataset can affect the performance of a CNN built on that dataset of car and plane images, by writing custom Torchvision datasets to control selection of the images and running several statistical experiments to investigate the effect of different sampling strategies

Fun Fact

Whenever I come across problems that are, if not entirely, mathematical, I often pay close attention to detail to detect patterns and trends. For example, in high school, the standard 2 week schedule consisted of 7 different blocks occurring 4 times a week, so that all courses had 4 classes weekly.

Passion

I am very passionate about using mathematical and analytical skills to solve problems that make a positive impact. I would like to pursue a career in data science, analytics, or data management. I am also very passionate about solutions to climate change, and I hope I can contribute with my skills.
