• Assisted in manufacturing and assembly of racecar suspension for the 2019-2020 season, specifically machining the inserts for the control arms and anti-roll bars as well as assembly of suspension structures • Lead design, manufacturing, and assembly of uprights as well as headed communication for geometry and design between the major suspension entity groups in the 2021-2022 season. Presented all data and findings in three separate presentations to team • Took on assessing quality of design and completing calculations for stress loads through Excel, including lug hand calculations to calculate and record margins of stress in the upper and lower control arms and steering rod of the car. Additionally, calculated • Modeled three different front and rear upright designs in NX to test different design iterations as well as running finite element • Improved suspension geometry from previous year designs by accommodating for the full load output on the lower control arm • Led fabrication and assembly of upright assemblies, specifically utilizing the CNC and manual mills to create the upright body and used the waterjet to cut camber shims to create adjustable camber for the car
