- Collaborated with clinicians and engineering professor to elicit requirements for simulation needed for data analysis to be used in advising research paper outcomes, and pair programmed with research assistants to deliver on those requirements - Engineered a simulation that used efficient data structures and algorithms adapted from the STL library to simulate hospital patient flow and collect metrics to determine the effect of using multiple different prenatal care pathways - Surveyed use of C++ object-oriented properties to reduce bug duplication and prioritize for memory and speed which allowed for the simulation to run for over 1,000 replications with little system overhead
