College of Charleston, founded in 1770, is a public university located in the historic college town of Charleston, South Carolina. It enrolls over 10,000 undergraduates, and is one of the oldest universities in the United States. It has a scenic campus that has served as a set for films like The Notebook and Dear John. Students can take a wide variety of classes, including sailing and horseback riding, and approximately one third of the student body is involved in Greek life. The Cougars are also spirited, with incredible baseball, women’s volleyball and sailing teams to cheer for!
