Queens College is one of the senior colleges of the City University of New York. It was established in 1937, with over 14,300 undergraduates, along the Kissena Boulevard at Flushing, New York. The campus has retained six of its original Spanish-style buildings along with around forty more new buildings. The campus is grassy and green, with a view of the New York City skyline from the Quad. It’s a college that embraces diversity, whether with respect to extra-curriculars and clubs, or the student body, which represents around 120 countries and speaks a total of 60 languages combined. Its student activities and events are a big part of campus life; fostering community spirit! It has a number of Division II athletic teams to cheer for, and the college’s museum, the Godwin-Ternbach Museum hosts exhibitions of its art and artifacts that are open to the public. Crowd favorites such as Jerry Seinfield and musician Paul Simon went to school here. With its affordable tuition and invaluable resources, CUNY, Queens College consistently makes it to the Universities That are a “Bang For your Buck” lists.
