DePauw University, established in 1837, is a private liberal arts college with approximately 2,400 undergraduates. Its campus is located in Greencastle, Indiana; housing a nature park, outdoor amphitheater and an astronomical observatory. Students can take part in any of over 100 student-run organizations, including its extremely popular Greek scene and NCAA Division III sports teams. Home games against Wabash College have DePauw students at the edge of their seat, and winter terms are a great time to intern or study abroad. For those wanting to explore beyond its surrounding small town, the big city noise of Indianapolis and Bloomington isn’t too far away. Notable DePauw alumni include Angie Hicks, founder of Angie’s List and Bill Rasmussen, co-founder of ESPN. The university, with its peaceful & supportive environment, challenges its students within and beyond the classroom.
