The El Camino College-Compton Center is a center for a public community college, located in Compton, California. It has a history dating back to 1927. The school was initially started as a community college called Compton Community College. After losing its accreditation in 2006, it was absorbed by the El Camino College, and now serves as a satellite campus. Presently, student at the Compton Center are offered associate programs and vocational training. Programs span the three main divisions of health, natural sciences & human services, arts, social sciences, & career technical education, and humanities & mathematics. ECC-Compton Center serves a large student body of more than 7000, which is notable for its diversity. Students at El Camino are big on school spirit, and game nights are always fun. Footballers Billy Anderson and Don Bandy are among the notable alumni.
