Emmaus Bible College is a private college founded in 1941. The college was initially situated in Ontario, and moved to another location before its current location in Dubuque, Iowa. It offers associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in areas such as bible & theology, business, computer studies, and nursing. The college also offers a distance education program that off-campus students can opt for. It is a small student body of about 250 with a significantly diverse population, with half coming from Brethren backgrounds, and the rest from other evangelical backgrounds. Small classes of about 10-25 students allows for individual attention, and with the knowledgeable professors on campus, the learning experience is that much richer. Dubuque is a great place to live and study in, it being the main commercial, industrial, educational, and cultural center for the Tri-State Area – Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin – at whose junction lies the city. The unique architecture and hilly landscape is sure to prove interesting for students to explore during their off time.
