Marion Military Institute (MMI), a military junior college in Marion, Alabama, has offered unique and powerfully preparatory training programs to hundreds of cadets since 1842. Via their Early Commissioning Program, qualified students can earn status as a Second Lieutenant after just two years, and the Service Academy program is perfect for those who wish to eventually attend one of the academies for the Air Force, Navy, Marines or Coast Guard. Fully accredited by the SACSCOC, MMI boasts a student-to-faculty ratio of just 17 to 1. Athletics here consist of men’s baseball, tennis, basketball and wrestling as well as two women’s sports, and MMI’s mascot and school colors trace back to the influence of U.S. President-to-be Woodrow Wilson. Notable alumni include many important figures in law, politics and leadership, such as General Jacob Smart, U.S. Representative Maston E. O’Neal, and accomplished professor and author Eugene Sledge. To all who serve, Marion Military Institute proudly salutes you!
