Facebook Is Hiring Paid Campus Reps Right Now. Here’s Why You Should Apply

We’re just going to cut to the chase: Facebook (yeah, as in the social media site that over one billion people use) is hiring on WayUp right now!

If you’re looking to sharpen your communication skills and gain valuable professional experience along the way all from the comfort of your campus, this is quite the opportunity for you. And even better, this opportunity is paid!

Intrigued? Check out why we think Facebook’s new Brand Ambassador role is pretty sweet.

The Role

Your job as a Brand Ambassador is to raise awareness and engagement for the Facebook’s new product: College Communities. College Community Groups are .edu protected groups where peers and friends can connect with each other to plan events, share notes, participate in relevant social discussions, and way more.

As an ambassador, you’ll be at the forefront of rolling out this new product at your university by brainstorming with campus leaders and developing relationships with different influential groups across campus. You’ll get hands-on experience testing, reporting, and finding creative ways to make College Community Groups a success on your college campus.

Why It’s Awesome

As a representative for a company on campus, you are often asked to connect with influential figures at your college as a way to promote your brand. Whether it be speaking with student government members, big-time student organizations, helpful administrators, or well-known professors, you will make new and valuable connections you otherwise would not have had the opportunity to find.

In addition, not only will you be paid ($15 an hour isn’t chump change!), but you’ll also get to interact with the Facebook team, giving you unprecedented access to people who are creating smart and innovative solutions every day. Who knows? You might even make a couple great professionals connections!

Additionally, you’ll get to make your own hours. College schedules are crazy, and it can be near-impossible to fit a 15- or 20-hour per week job into your schedule, especially if the job requires you to work shifts or go to a physical office. The beauty of this role is that you create your own hours and don’t have to leave campus to rock your job.

And last but certainly not least, you’ll get to put Facebook, the largest social network and a company that’s at the forefront of technology, on your resume. We’ll definitely give that a like!

What You’ll Learn

As a student ambassador, you gain valuable skills in marketing, sales, social media strategy, public speaking, strategy, and so much more. You’ll learn how to communicate effectively more than anything, and according to a recent report by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), verbal communication is the most important candidate skill in new college graduates. Why not get a head start?

There’s no doubt putting “Facebook Brand Ambassador” will open tons of doors, so it’s time to get in the game: Apply to earn one of these positions on WayUp right now!
