Between traffic jams and the need for more coffee, workday mornings can get hectic really quickly. Thankfully, Unilever, the company behind huge brands like Axe, Dove, and Ben & Jerry’s (ever heard of them?) has a number of morning perks for its interns to make their first couple hours of the day much more manageable.
We actually got to chat with two Unilever interns, Frank and David, as we traveled via Unilever’s shuttle from Columbia University in New York City to Unilever’s headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. Check out what we learned about how the company makes mornings easier for their employees.
Unilever has an awesome shuttle for employees and interns to use to commute from New York City to the company’s headquarters in New Jersey. In addition to the ride itself being comfy, the shuttle also has wifi available so that employees can work on the go.
You’ll never have to use your own data or pray that you have a signal to check your email again.
Unilever has an eatery onsite for employees who want to grab a bite to eat before getting to work in the mornings. It’s a perfect way to ease into your day without having to step too far away from your work to get food (and more importantly, coffee).
In addition, Unilever has snack areas all around the office, so you’ll never be too far from food and caffeine as the day goes on.
Because of Unilever’s agile work policy, employees and interns alike can work from wherever they feel most productive. If you want to work outside or in a common area as you eat your breakfast, that’s more than okay!
Deadlines are quickly approaching for Unilever’s summer internship positions, so if you want to snag a seat on the shuttle and so much more, be sure to check out their WayUp-approved listings in supply chain, food science, customer development, marketing, and more.
