General Summary:
The Visual Coordinator is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Visual Merchandising Team; sample coordination, the organization of the department workspace, graphic design/production, and supporting the team on floor sets, windows and styling needs. This hourly position will provide support and creative input to all functions in Visual Merchandising. It is a great opportunity to begin building experience in Visual Merchandising and start growing a successful career in retail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates all aspects of sample management, including receiving and archiving samples.
Build close partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure the Visual team has the most up-to-date information on samples.
Works closely with the Visual Managers on floor sets and window styling direction.
Document presentation sets, photograph merchandise presentations and generate written communication necessary to create the visual presentation books.
Dismantles all set-ups post-walkthrough. This may require moving fixtures, heavy lifting, dressing mannequins and boxing up samples.
Supports the graphic design, layout, and production of bi-weekly internal documents for all 500+ stores.
Assists with department projects, as needed.
Researches and stays current on emerging fashion industry trends.
Strong interest in Visual Merchandising and knowledge of the retail environment.
A passion for fashion demonstrated through an understanding of current trends and direct competitors.
Previous in-store Visual Merchandising experience preferred.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Extremely flexible, strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Works well individually and in a team environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Works proactively and takes initiative to constantly improve/streamline processes.
Proficient on a Mac computer.
Basic working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Able to lift up to 25 lbs., bend and reach frequently, stand for long periods of time and comfortable climbing ladders.
