    What We’re Looking For

    Our sales teams are looking for students to develop into the sales and business development professionals of the future. We’re interested in people looking to craft the “2.0” version of our industry: one in which the sale and distribution of consumer products are multi-channel and multi-platform, and the market dynamics are ever-changing.

    At L’Oréal, we give our interns the space to explore, to have full-time employee responsibilities, present their own insights to senior management, and to become future leaders. We need high-performing, motivated rising college seniors (with a graduation date of no later than Spring or Summer 2021) to contribute to our innovative, fast-paced sales team.

    What You’ll Do

    You’ll be working within our Consumer Products Division. The Consumer Products Division makes the best cosmetic innovation available to the greatest number of people on every continent. Its brands are distributed in mass, drug, specialty, and food retailing channels. These brands offer a wide range of coloring products, hair care, makeup, and skin care.

    Within the division, you’ll become an integral part of one our sales teams in the following areas:

    • Account / Field Sales
    • Brand Business Development
    • e-Commerce
    • Category Development
    • Future of Retail
    • New Business Development
    • Revenue Growth Management
    • Customer Marketing
    • Business Forecasting/Planning

    You’ll learn how to tell a compelling story with data, and generate insights and viable recommendations. You’ll also get the opportunity to network and learn about multiple functions (including Digital, Supply Chain, Finance, Research & Innovation, and Marketing).

    On the job you’ll have access to both formal and informal training opportunities.

    One of the best parts of our internship program is the opportunity to own an individual project and/or group project with strategic business impact that you present to senior leaders.

  • Qualifications

    Requirements for the Sales Internship include:

    • You must be an enrolled 4-year degree college student graduating either Spring or Summer 2021
    • You must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in any major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • You must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent and ongoing future basis without requiring sponsorship
    • You are able to work the entirety of the 11-week summer internship program in 2020, starting on May 28th and ending August 7th

    Traits that make a great L’Oréal Sales Intern include: - You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously - You are a self-starter with strong interpersonal and networking skills - You are resourceful and can successfully move a project forward while being given vague or new tasks - You are able to work both collaboratively on group initiatives and autonomously on individual projects - You’re an analytical, results-oriented person with a strong attention to detail - You enjoy both right brain and left brain activities—comfortable with being creative and analytical - You have demonstrated leadership ability and interest in the area of marketing through your extra-curricular activities and/or volunteer work

    The L’Oréal Sales Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to work at our corporate headquarters in New York or in one of our remote offices. The remote offices, also referred to as “hubs,” are located within close proximity to our largest retail partners like Walmart or Target.

    This unique opportunity enables interns to be immersed in the day-to-day operations of a team that works very closely with their counterparts in the retailer’s corporate headquarters in order to grow the L’Oréal business.
