RiverSource Insurance, affiliated with Ameriprise Financial Services will be bringing on a summer intern to support the Insurance Marketing strategy team's efforts in communications, training, marketing collateral development, video, and social media.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of creative concepts and marketing strategies
• Develop content for promotional materials
• Support our client experience project
• Assist with copywriting and editing.
• Assist with creating training materials
• Coordinate with the internal agency to create print, online and other collateral materials
• Provide project management from engagement to implementation to monitoring.
• Assist with analysis of website, digital tool and email analytics
• Develop and maintain reporting for key projects
• Develop, manage, and implement communications plans tied to overall campaign strategy

Required Qualifications

• Current Junior status at a 4-year college or university
• 3.0 GPA or greater
• Ameriprise Financial does not offer internships for students with F-1 visas

Preferred Qualifications

• Major: marketing, journalism, mass communications or related field
• Excellent written communication skills and experience writing, proofing and editing
• Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Strong creativity
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to gather and analyze data to develop recommendations
• Experience with social media
• Project management skills
• Experience and/or Interest in the financial services industry, specifically life insurance
• Experience in marketing, communications and/or training
