Job Description

Technology provides corporate computing and network infrastructure support and technology to clients, advisors and employees.

The Ameriprise Financial Technology Intern program offers participating individuals exposure to a broad range of Technology initiatives, along with the chance to gain direct experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Technology Infrastructure
• Architecture and Application Development
• Information Security
• Technology Operations
• Digital Technologies

The program is 11 weeks, full-time 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities may vary depending on assigned project and may include:

• Defining business requirements.
• Developing user acceptance test plans.
• Developing Statement of Work (SOW) and cost benefit analysis.
• Developing, documenting, testing, and modifying new and existing code.
• Developing working knowledge of systems and processes.

Required Qualifications

• Junior status.
• Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Science (CIS). Management Information Systems (MIS) will be considered with proven coding/development/programming experience. concentration.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ameriprise Financial does not offer internships for students with F-1 visas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship experience within Technology while in college.
• High level of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics.
• Ability to influence and strong relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership focus with ability to drive results.
• Creative, strategic, and flexible skill sets.
• Interested in gaining broad experience.
