YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate on the risk management, compliance, and cloud security team within Global Information Security.
• Run vulnerability scans and help to investigate and remediate vulnerabilities found with the tool.
• Also, perform basic penetration testing and help support groups close issues found in the testing.
• Also, automate controls in the cloud environment to protect Deere data from being unintentionally disclosed.

WHAT IT TAKES

• Exposure to programming languages; node.js, python or java, or scripting like Perl.
• Some knowledge of security vulnerabilities and ethical hacking.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies
• Strong Analytical, Communication and intrapersonal skills
• Pursing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Technology focusing on Information Systems.
• Must be registered as a full-time student at Iowa State University
• Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
• Graduation date of May 2019 or later  
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
• 16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
• 35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester

A STRONG CANDIDATE WILL ALSO HAVE

• AWS Experience or vulnerability scanning experience.
• Background in networking, infrastructure, general cloud exposure, and experience with security concepts.
