The Buildings and Systems Engineering Sustainability Intern will contribute to the improvement of UPS’s Corporate Buildings and Systems Engineering, and sustainability strategies and projects. They will assist with improving and streamlining data collection for corporate sustainability reporting process. In addition, the BaSE Sustainability intern will be responsible for developing energy, water and waste reduction programs. They will update internal processes, manuals and training materials related to compliance with EPA environmental compliance and DOT regulated goods regulations.

Founded on a $100 loan in 1907, 2 teenage boys opened up a messenger service in a 6 by 17 foot office located just below the sidewalk on Second Avenue and Main Street in Seattle, WA. Messengers ran errands, carried notes, hand baggage, and delivered trays of food for customers. They also delivered packages, traveling by streetcars and bicycles for longer trips, and later using motorcycles.
