    UPS Capital is seeking a motivated Business Analyst (BA) intern for a project-driven assignment. He/She will work with business partners across multiple business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies. This position plans, analyzes, and defines application requirements and supports system testing. The BA intern is responsible for the collection, analysis, documentation, and potential design of business and functional requirements.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    • Elicits, analyzes and communicates business needs
    • Identifies solutions to business problems
    • Creates and manages detailed, clear written business and functional requirements for projects of low to medium complexity
    • Gains project stakeholder acceptance of documented requirements and proposed solution
    • Participates in reviews of developer, architect and quality assurance deliverables to ensure alignment with documented requirements
    • Captures, writes and communicates accurate meeting minutes
    • Identifies, addresses, negotiates, records, reports, manages and escalates action items, risks and issues associated to the project

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Excellent written, oral communications, and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrates strong analytical skills
    • Demonstrates ability to work both independently and in a team environment
    • Able to prioritize and organize work duties accordingly
    • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) or equivalent software - Preferred
    • Currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering
