    Frontier Technology Inc. (FTI) is seeking a part-time Data Analytics Intern to support our FTI team in Chesapeake, VA at a remote capacity. This position is designed for currently enrolled college students. Our summer internship program offers real work experience at a fast-growing company, exposure to senior leadership, and, potentially, career opportunities at FTI upon graduation. This position will be filled through the Frontier Technology Inc. Internship program, which celebrates diversity and aims to foster an inclusive workforce that reflects the diverse communities in which we do business.     Responsibilities Include:

    • This intern will help assist team in developing safety analytics and data visualization projects for the Naval Safety Command.
    • Support data analysts through collecting and analyzing insights pulled from data.
    • Support team in monitoring and maintaining data.
    • Work alongside team to develop visualizations and reports that can drive the story of the data analysis.
  • Qualifications
    • Must be a Junior or Senior pursing a bachelors or master’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Analytics, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, or Physics.
    • Completed at least 1 basic programming course in Python, R, C++, etc.
    • Completed coursework in calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and probability.
    • Desire to pursue a career in Data Science.
    • Previous exposure or experience with modelling and simulation activities.
    • Have basic programming skills.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management. 
    • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. 
    • Able to work independently with geographically dispersed team. 
    • Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
