Do you love talking to people and are interested in taking action to protect our planet?

EarthShare is seeking a communicative, energetic, and ambitious full-time intern to attend virtual and in-person charitable events this fall. You will be the face of EarthShare on the campaign trail, so a positive and enthusiastic attitude is a must. Your main focus will be to engage potential donors, provide materials and take away items (if applicable), and explain EarthShare’s role within workplace giving campaigns. These tabling and speaking fairs are a key component to EarthShare’s mission of promoting environmental education and charitable giving.

Responsibilities include:

• Speaking to and engaging individuals and groups at fairs, meetings, and campaign kickoffs (both virtually and in-person)
  • Travel for these events will be reimbursed.
  • EarthShare’s internal policies require that those who are traveling for the organization must be vaccinated for COVID-19.

Qualifications

Intern must be a self-motivated and reliable individual who is comfortable working independently with limited supervision. This is a remote directed position, and thus most communication will be done via email and Zoom. Office work will not be required, unless otherwise discussed. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, feel comfortable talking to people, and have excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Public Speaking experience
• Knowledge of environmental issues a plus.
• Vaccination may be required (if attending in-person events)

Additional Information

**Compensation & Benefits: **The chosen candidate will be reimbursed for any direct travel costs for campaign events attended. EarthShare will offer $25 in compensation per event attended.

Start : September 18, 2023
End Date : December 15, 2023
Please note that we can be flexible on your start and end dates.
Hours : M-F as needed. 18 – 25 hours per week. Most events take place in the morning and are around 2 to 4 hours in length.
